Thank you so much to Katie and her horse rescue for bringing her 2 mini horses Waffles and Wetzel out to play with our residents and their families. We had the most wonderful time playing with them!
Animals have many benefits especially to seniors, and dementia patients! Horses especially. They bring people back to their childhood. Thinking about playing cow boy and Indians as a kid , watching Wild Western movies, or perhaps riding them in their younger years. Horses really bring joy to people, especially these older generations. Our residents were nothing but smiles when playing with these horses and watching the children interacting with them.
